According to The Numbers, Clayface debuted in first place on the daily domestic box office chart with $10.4 million from 3,458 theaters. It is the largest single-day gross on the list and sits well ahead of every title already in release.

Clayface also posted the highest per-theater average on the chart, at $3,008. The next-best averages among the new films were Wicker at $1,604 and Wildwood at $1,559, so the opening stands out even for a title that is only one day into its run.

You Can See Everything dropped to second after leading the previous chart. It still took in $6,146,325 on the day, with its daily gross up 175 percent, and it has reached $31,791,801 over eight days in release.

Wildwood landed third with $4,289,386 from 2,752 theaters, while Wicker followed in fourth at $2,360,000. Both are new entries, as is A Talent for Murder, which pulled in $433,785 from 876 theaters.

Further down, Klara and the Sun debuted with $300,000 from 880 theaters. The Only Living Pickpocket in New York opened on just six screens, earning $53,000 for an average of $8,833 per theater. The new openings range from Clayface’s $10.4 million to that six-screen debut.

Which titles are holding up best?

You Can See Everything is the only title already in release that gained ground in the weekly change column. Every other holdover posted a drop, and six of them fell by more than 80 percent.

Street Fighter’s daily gross rose 102 percent to $2,345,000 from 3,575 theaters, though its weekly change fell 82 percent. It has a total of $40,683,634 over eight days. Forgotten Island rose 123 percent on the day to $210,000 and has $35,979,345 across 29 days.

Older titles farther down keep adding up too. Angel and the Badman has $3,857,065 over 15 days, Daniel and the Fiery Furnace has $8,339,879 over 36 days, and Musk has $588,478 over 15 days.

At the lower end of the chart, The Devils earned $115,000 from 315 theaters and Primetime brought in $114,276 from 321 theaters. The Social Reckoning posted $60,000 from 619 theaters, and Musk and Angel and the Badman each took in less than $17,000 on the day.

Taken together, The Numbers reports that the 24 reporting movies on the chart earned $32,651,250. The table also shows daily gross, theater count, per-theater average and running total for each title, so readers can track how each film is trending.

Because the chart is daily, each figure reflects one day of ticket sales for that title. The chart does not say how these films will perform in coming days, so the next daily update will be the best guide.
