Weezer is getting the Legend of Live award, according to Billboard, which announced the honor Thursday, Oct. 15, for its 2026 Billboard Live Music Summit. The Grammy-winning rock band will receive the award at the event, which returns to 1 Hotel West Hollywood on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

The band will also appear in conversation with Billboard co-chief content officer Jason Lipshutz at the summit. The prize is meant to spotlight acts whose influence on concert touring has lasted, Billboard notes.

The rest of the program was unveiled the same day. Madison Square Garden Entertainment president Josephine Vaccarello, Billboard’s 2026 Touring Executive of the Year, will speak with senior correspondent Kristin Robinson during a live taping of the Billboard On The Record podcast.

Hilary Duff, who was previously named Outstanding Pop Tour of the Year, will also sit down for an exclusive conversation at the event. Her appearance was announced before this week’s lineup, so it adds to the bill rather than opening it.

Industry panels fill much of the day. Agency leaders from CAA, IAG, TBA, THE·TEAM, UTA and WME will discuss the agency sector. A separate panel features executives from Another Planet Entertainment, C3 Presents, Dreamshop Management, Goldenvoice and ROAM on the state of the festival market.

Billboard co-chief content officer Leila Cobo will moderate a talk on international touring with Live Nation’s Nidhish Varughese and OCESA’s Memo Parra. The lineup covers the business side of concerts, from agencies and festival promoters to global touring companies.

Who has won the Legend of Live award before?

Past recipients include Usher, John Mayer, George Strait, Journey, Rush, Ozzy Osbourne and Elton John, according to Billboard. Weezer’s name now joins that group, and the honor focuses on the live side of a career that Billboard frames around touring.

The timing fits a busy stretch on the road. Weezer just wrapped the North American leg of The Gathering Tour, which kicked off last month in Sacramento, California, with Silversun Pickups, The Shins and Taking Back Sunday as support acts. The run ended Oct. 11 in Orlando, Florida.

The arena tour promoted the band’s self-titled album, released Aug. 21. It is the band’s 20th album, and it reached No. 35 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and No. 6 on Top Rock Albums, Billboard reported.

Last year’s summit also took place at the 1 Hotel, on Nov. 3, 2025. Usher headlined a Legend of Live keynote panel that day, honored after his Past Present Future Tour ran for 83 international concerts from 2024 to 2025.

Latin star Rauw Alejandro also sat down for a Spotlight Conversation about his rise to the 2025 Cosa Nuestra Tour. Billboard said that tour grossed $91.7 million across spring and summer legs in North America and Europe, before heading to South America and Mexico.

Sponsors for this year’s summit include AEG Presents, Moody Center, Tacoma Dome, THE·TEAM and Allegiant Stadium. Billboard also plans a pre-summit opening reception on Monday, Nov. 9, for badge holders, sponsored by THE·TEAM, with more details promised in the coming weeks.

Tickets are on sale now for the event, which Billboard says will bring together top executives, artists and innovators for panels, networking and an awards ceremony. Readers who want the full schedule can check Billboard for updates as the date approaches.
