The new Disney’s Hexed trailer and poster are now available, according to Disney News, and the original animated film is set to open exclusively in cinemas on November 27, 2026. The Walt Disney Animation Studios release is pitched as an all-new magical coming-of-age saga, and the announcement was issued from London on October 12, 2026.

The package also named a long list of additional voice cameos, a group that reaches well beyond the lead performers and gives the film a wide-ranging ensemble. In animation, a recognizable voice can be the reason a family picks one film over another, so the size of this lineup is worth a closer look.

The top-billed voices carry the central story. Hailee Steinfeld voices Billie Doe, an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl. Rashida Jones voices Alice, her cautious mother. Jodie Foster, described in the release as a two-time Academy Award winner, voices Queen Celeste, and Walton Goggins voices Beef Roger Crummchuk, a reclusive, magical three-eyed cat. Tracey Ullman and Stephen Fry round out the principal voice cast.

Two more names stand out in key roles. Henry Winkler voices Nigel, a skittish, all-knowing potoo bird, and Dan Stevens voices Hieronymous, the blustering and self-important Grand Councillor of the Throne under Queen Celeste.

Disney News also lists the rest of the cast, including Brett Gelman, Samson Kayo, Jimmy O. Yang, Ron Funches, Cheri Oteri, Kathy Najimy, Wayne Knight, Alan Tudyk, Randall Park, Bill Farmer, Pat McAfee, Chris Parnell, Sarah-Nicole Robles, Rachel Dratch, Ariana Madix, Kellie Gerardi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Abraham Benrubi and Josh Dallas. For fans who follow the actors as much as the characters, that list alone is a reason to pay attention.

What is Disney’s Hexed about?

Disney News describes a story built around Billie, who discovers secret magical abilities. Once she unleashes them, they pull her out of suburbia and into a spectacle-filled journey through a vast witch realm called Hexe. She is forced to team up with her mother, and the two uncover family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever.

The alliance is not limited to mother and daughter. The release says Beef Roger Crummchuk forges an uneasy alliance with Billie and Alice, while Queen Celeste is described as a sinister figure who will stop at nothing to keep her power over Hexe.

A coming-of-age story centers on a young character working out who they are, and this one adds magic and a mother-daughter partnership to that familiar arc. The mix of familiar and new names in the cast is the clearest hook the studio has put forward so far.

Behind the camera, Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand direct, Josie Trinidad co-directs, and Roy Conli and Yvett Merino produce. The film was written by Jared Bush, listed as Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer, and Dana Ledoux Miller.

For readers tracking the project, the key date is November 27, 2026, when the film opens exclusively in cinemas. The trailer and poster arrived with the October 12 announcement, and the release points readers to press materials and the studio’s UK social channels, including YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and X.

Beyond the cinema date, the release does not list further plans, so there is nothing else to report on what comes next.
